Review - Mac's Studio Fixed Fluid - NW20

Hey my Beautiful Makeup Fanatics... Hope you are in the best of health and Beauty. I have a review for my beauties today. I have read several articles and  seen several video’s titled as: “Most repurchased products”, “Products I can’t live without”, “If my makeup disappears what will I buy” & ”My favourite Foundations” etc. And if not this specific brand/type of foundation but lot of makeup fanatics name that num# 1 product as Foundation. Most of the lovelies go over several tubes or bottles of foundations and consider them the *imp* most part of their makeup routine! So do I! Foundation basically really helps you to create a great base for your makeup, it certainly evens the skin and complexion, cover flaws to an extent especially for people like me who have uneven skin tone and also hydrates or controls oils on skin depending what foundation you are using.

Before i continue the review let me tell you that my skin is very oily in every type of weather and also is sensitive and i occasionally have breakout's as well. Coming back to Mac’s Studio Fixed Fluid. So far it’s my Favourite most foundation.!

Mac's Studio Fixed Fluid - NW20

Claim:

A modern foundation that combines a natural matte finish and medium-buildable coverage with broad spectrum UVA/UVB SPF 15. Comfortable and long-wearing: lasts for up to eight hours. Applies smoothly, builds coverage quickly and easily. Contains specially treated micronized pigments and soft-focus powders for a super-smooth look that helps minimize the appearance of imperfections. Absorbs and disperses oil. Contains special skin-conditioning ingredients. Oil free.

Packaging & Texture:

For allot of people while buying a foundation they consider if it’s  a pump bottle it will be a  plus point which certainly for me is as well but this is  just a glass bottle, which is ok. It has a velvety black cap. It contains 30Ml or 1.0 US FL OZ.
The texture feels very smooth and absorbs nicely into the skin. I feel as if my pores are minimized with this product. As the claim states it has a medium to buildable coverage and if blended more we can build it up to full coverage as well. It does not irritate my skin or looks cakey.  I haven’t seen any break outs caused due the studio fixed fluid.

Price:

The price i.e $27 I guess is a little high overall but I would still give it a 4/5 since the product is great as per the quantity of product provided. For me this bottle has lasted for quite a long time.

Staying Power:

As the claim states that it lasts up to 8 hrs, I would not be a customer who would agree with it. The reason for that might be my skin itself as I mentioned beforehand it’s very oily. But for the the price; staying power should have been a little strong. For me this might last for 5 - 6 hrs and I need to touchup in middle as well!

Overall Perception:

As said, I have tried allot of different foundation from drugstore and departmental store brands, I don’t like experimenting with foundations allots. I try to experiment less and stick to the best possible option since I fear breakouts and loss in my investment. But overall so far so good. I haven’t seen much problems in photography as well even though it contains SPF 15.This comes in great variety of shades. Mine looks pretty natural on me.

Will I purchase it Again:

Yes - !

 Recommend it to a Friend:

To friends that have normal to oily skin or are looking for medium - full and matte coverage.

Rating:

9/10
(1 –ive marking is for the price tag and staying power)

Review - Palladio Herbal Eyeshadow Primer

Hello My Beautiful Makeup Fanatics. Hopefully you are in the best of health and Beauty. Today I have a review about a product which is a certainly an essential for allot if not every person. And that’s an eye Primer. If you have no idea what a primer is, it basically preps the eye surface and help’s the eye shadow to apply smoothly and vibrantly on the lid. It also helps to make the shadow last for hours without creasing. So beauties with oily lids can take advantage of it for sure. Some Primers are colourless and some are opaque enough and designed with correcting qualities as well.

So let’s talk about Palladio Eyeshadow Primer. Palladio is basically known for its herbal and vitamin enriched cosmetics. And is certainly one of the most economical and easily available brand.

Claim:

Meet the new industry standard in eyeshadow primers—one that retails for LESS THAN HALF the cost of department store brands! Enhanced with 5 different herbal extracts as well as Vitamins A, C and E, this sheer, silicone-based formula glides on like silk and then vanishes instantly. It’s the ultimate makeup kit accessory, that eliminates creasing and ensures maximum shadow vibrancy all-day long.

Packaging and Texture:

As in the picture above it has a tube packaging which is certainly easy to carry and store in the vanity area but in that case you can’t take advantage of the complete 5 ml or 17 fl oz product in it as it’s not a squeezy tube but it’s still easy to use and has an applicator like a standard lip gloss which makes it quick to apply.
The texture is comparable to Urban Decay’s Primer potion as a lot of reviews claim. It is totally colourless and absorbs nicely without leaving any form of residue..It does not correct the skin as such but makes the application smooth.

Price:

I would give it a 4/5 since the price is very economical as the claim i.e. $8 but unfortunately it dried a bit on me and also I couldn't take advantage of the entire product due to the packaging style.

Staying Power:

4.5/5 – Great is all I can say

Without primer on the left and shadow over the primer on right!

Overall View:

This product for a fact hasn’t been raved about at all and probably people had no idea it existed till Marlena from Makeup Geek Tv actually did a comparison between Palladio and Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer’s. I was glad it was available and rushed to get it. I believe it’s a great primer and does the job done. I do have oily lids to an extent and it smoothly applies the shadow, makes it vibrant and makes them last too.

Purchase it Again:

Yes-

Rating:

Nail Polish Collection

Hiya My Beautiful Makeup Fanatics. Hope you are in the Best of Health. Today i wanted to share another obsession of mine with you beauties. That is Nail Polish. I am a very passionate about colours and nail art and dare to wear from a neon Canary Yellow to a Punk Black..Life should be all about variety of Colours.. Isn't it ? :) I have seen great collections from Bloggers and YouTube Guru's and i defiantly don't have a big collection in comparison to many. But all i have is what i wear and love. I don't have anything Fancy like Deborah Lippmann, Zoya, Essie or OPI's since allot of brands are not even available at the location i dwell. But we still have a good variety of Colours from Local brands. I have collected a number of 125 so far. Let me share some pictures.

Just a Little Creative Idea :)))

Let me add in some more pictures so you can have an idea in depth about the colours.

My Yellow Family :)
I love wearing on my hands and toes both and this colour makes me happy and i really dont wear that in Summer's only it a colour that i love wearing all year around :)

These are more of peaches, oranges and corals.. They are not 100% true to colour in the picture but i like the fun colour range!

And here is my PINK family that is certainly my Fav most colour.. It just reminds me of friendship, freshness and spring.. WOW! These are more of the pale pinks.
This is the part off Pink Family which has more of Coral undertones to it and some brights :)

These are certainly more bright, vibrant and my favs :)

These certainly are the most Fun to work with and most popular ones.. Neon and Hot Pinks!

These are pinks which are more neutral and subtle!

I forgot to add them in the next Family..But i am glad to add them separately here since these are my fav most colours to wear on toes and hands both!

Purple, Lavender and Mauve Family.. No comments required.. Certainly tremendous colours to be worn!
Blues always make your heart and day bright! I believe..
All i can say is i Love em' all!

Reminds me of fresh green grass.. A bottle of refreshing 7up and Festivity..

Big Hi to the Neutral Family :)
Greys & Blacks!

Essentials..Top Coat, hardeners, cuticle remover and Meni & Pedi Stuff :)

Left the green baby outta the family by mistake so shot it separately with some glitter fun polishes!

That's all i have accumulated so far but i certainly plan to increase my collection when i find better colour range in the market. I really am proud of what i have though :)

Disclaimer:

I am not affiliated with any of the the Polish companies by any means. I am not getting paid or any incentive to display my collection. I have purchased all of the polishes with my own money. This certainly is not any form of bragging. Since its a Beauty Blog, I am just displaying and detailing about what i love and have.  Thanks!

Thanks allot for your precious time..I hope this will be useful too you guys. As I always say Stay Warm & Blessed and don’t forget to take care off your Loved ones and Pet’s. Xo!

Review: Avon - Nail Polish - Collection & Swatches

Hey My Beautiful Makeup Fanatics...! Hopefully you are in the best of Health and Beauty. I have another exciting review today for you which certainly is beauty related but is not Makeup.. Its about another obsession of mine that i will explain more in depth about in my next post. But for now let me tell you i have Nail Polish review for you that is by a renowned Brand Avon which is poplar for its Cosmetic and skincare line. But i certainly believe that have a great variety and quality of Nail Polish as well.

Here are some of the Avon polishes i own. The top picture is taken without flash and the bottom one is with flash.

Packaging and Texture:

They certainly have a huge colour range from brights to neon's and neutrals. The big plastic caps looks a little like OPI's. These polishes are available in different textures as well including cream, shimmer/glitter and sheer yet build-able colours.
It contains 15ml or 0.5FL Oz.Which is fairly a good amount of product. The applicator is good and easy to use. Its designed like the pros use i.e. one step application.

Price:

Usually you can get the polish around $1.99 (mini) to $6 depending on the finish. Which is in an affordable range. And is almost fairly charged vs. to the quality they offer.

Staying Power:

I would rate the staying power 3/5. I didn't have a great experience but it was more than average  I must say without a top coat it can stay well for 3 days at least and with a top coat 4-5 days for sure!

Overall View:

The shop where i get my Avon polishes from don't offer testers and cuz' of that i have always been unable to judge how sheer or opaque that product is. Even though i haven't been disappointed with any i own. if not one, two coats are sufficient to get the job done. The glass bottle however needs to be kept at safe place since i broke one or two bottles of mine and they crack up easily.

The top picture is one coat and bottom is two coats.

This polish seemed a bit streaky in the first coat. But after the second coat it was exactly the colour that showed up in the bottle.

Purchase it Again:

Yes

Recommend to a Friend:

I would recommend the ones which have creamy texture.

Rating:

8.5/10
(-ive they can work a bit more on the texture and opacity of the polish. Price can be improved as well but i like the discount offers they provide)

Maybelline – Volum’ Express The Turbo Waterproof Mascara

Hello my Beautiful Makeup Fanatics! I’m here with another review talking about Mascara. I would certainly say that adding a coat of mascara is always a simple yet effective step to one’s makeup routine. I believe that Maybelline mascara’s haven’t been hyped without a reason. I personally believe it’s not only a tremendous brand but also offers the BEST mascara’s and I have had a first-class experience with them overall.

Claim:

They claim that Turbo-Boost formula & its anti-clump brush quickly thickens up lashes 7X more Volume than your original lashes and also it is contact lens safe and ophthalmologist – tested.

Packaging & Texture:

The packaging is just like the traditional Maybelline mascara’s i.e. plastic round shaped and I like the Black tube.
It is available in only one colour which is “Very Black” and it is a good opaque black. The wand is comparatively thin and straight & pretty easy to work with for both upper and lower lashes. The formula is on the wet side and takes few seconds to dry but the benefit is meanwhile you can put another coat of mascara. It does not dry fast so that makes it is a big plus..

Price:

Maybelline mascara’s are affordable and worth the money.. It’s around $7-$8. And the quality vs. Price is better than high end ones!

Staying Power:

I must give 5/5 to the staying power. I beleve for me it has lasted for hours without smudgind or budging. I must say at least 8 -10 hrs :)

Overall Perception:

The girl on the Maybelline counter recommended me to purchase it since according to her it was considered a good alternative to The Colossal which is my Favourite Maybelline Mascara. Initially when I used it, I was not  satisfied with the results. I did not try it again. I thought that my money had gone in waste. But after maybe 2 weeks I tried it again. And OMG I Guess I loved it, it just needs a bit of patience for applying it. We need to sweep slowly and wiggle in middle upwards from the roots and 2 coats just make the perfect evening look as well. It volumizes without clumps and lengthens pretty much as well. One coat is good for bottom lashes. The only but a significant DRAWBACK is that this mascara is extremely hard to remove. I have tried different cleansers, wipes and makeup removers. This does take allot of time to be off your lashes :(

They Suggest: (TIP)*

To sweep the brush from root to tip to build instant volume. Do not let dry between coats.

Will I purchase it again:

Certainly.

Recommend it to a friend:

A Big YES!

Rating:

9/10
(-ive 1 marking is because of the aforementioned drawback i.e. it is extremely hard to remove the mascara and that causes breakage of lashes sometimes)

Nutriganics™ Smoothing Eye Cream - The Body Shop

Hey My Beautiful Makeup Fanatic’s I have a great product review for you today. Since winter time is up and most of the people are facing a similar issue i.e. dry skin and specially problems in the under eye area. Most people think that dark under-eye circles are caused by staying up late at night watching monster movies or sitting up with your laptop trying to finish the quarterly report etc. Well most people are wrong about that.

If nothing else, I want you to know that dark under-eye circles are not your fault. They don't mysteriously appear when you misbehave or are stressed out, only to vanish when you get 8 straight hours of sleep. So for that I discovered a product  from The Body Shop called “Nutriganics™ Smoothing Eye Cream”.

Claim:

It claims that it reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with a gentle lightweight treatment that soothes and softens the delicate skin around the eye area.

Packaging & Texture:

Who wouldn't like the fresh colours of White & Green :) The size i.e. 15 ml or 0.5 FL  is appropriate for my Vanity and Traveling as well. It has the traditional pump which is quiet good.
The texture is very smooth as the name explains that. The formula itself has an iridescence to it and gives a great sheen. It might be a little visible in the picture that works as a multiple product i.e. highlighting the under-eye area. It’s not on the extremely think side but think enough to moisturize and absorbs quickly. It works perfectly from day to night use.

 Price Tag:

The Body Shop products aren't raved about despite being one of the BEST in market due to the price tags. But I would say that spending $20 is still worth it. Since this product will last you for 2-3 months. Obviously who wouldn't want a great bargain but I would rate the price 8/10.

Staying Power:

I would rate that 4/5. This product is pretty moisturizing and stay for few hours but with time it definitely won't remain as smooth like at the time of application

Overall Perception:

Lot of products needs testing between 15-30 days and that’s how they should be tested. But for me it has been one of the rare products with which I felt a difference in a day or two...

Will I purchase it Again:

YES UNDOUBTEDLY!

Recommend it to a Friend:

 Certainly

Rating:

I believe it does what it claims I would rate it 9.5/10
*(-ive 0.5 for Price Tag)
